KingBennett was signed to Durk's company Only the Family after his performances with. After adopting his stage name of King Von in order to make his music debut the first single he released "Crazy Story" was released in the month of December 2018. It topped the Billboard Hot 100 at number 81 and the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart at 32. The song also received million of YouTube views. In May of 2019, Von released "Crazy Story 2.0" the follow-up single. The song features Lil Durk, the sequel is one of the remixes from the original track. The sequel/remix dubbed "Crazy Story 3.0" was also launched in September.
