Amy Smart is a former American model and actor. Amy Smart was born and raised California USA began her modelling in Italy. Her Costly Affair, a 1996 TV film that she played her first part in, was her debut role. She struggled to get an appearance in Starship Troopers. This was not easy for Amy as she had change from modeling to performing. Models aren't considered great actors and so tend to get smaller, insignificant roles. Amy was never discouraged. Her first major role came in The 70s followed by Varsity Blues. Amy then moved into leading roles in the romance film Just Friends starring Ryan Reynolds. Amy was finally recognized for the role she'd been looking for for over a decade. Amy continued to make major films such as the Crank series starring Jason Statham and the series Shameless in which she was a well loved recurring character.
