Anna Silk is a Fredericton resident, and is the daughter of Peter Silk, who was an academic. The mother of her, Ilkay Silk, had a diverse range of abilities, which included the ability perform, direct production, create plays teaching, as well as be the Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Anna was born in Fredericton. She is the daughter of Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Her mother is an "English-Turkish Cypriot expat" that is originally from Britain. Anna remembers attending the rehearsals of performances as a kid and observing her mother working. Anna appeared in several advertisements when she was a child. Anna moved to Toronto in November 1999 in order to continue her acting career. After that, she settled in Los Angeles (California) over the next ten years. Anna changed her religion to Judaism in the month of January, 2011, and the couple renewed their vows in a Jewish wedding ceremony in Fredericton.
