Dolly-Parton
Born on Jan. 19th of 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn into a poor family that would eventually comprise 12 kids Dolly Parton learned early to get away from the struggles of living through her vibrant and broad imagination. Prior to learning how to read and write Dolly Parton was composing her own music. She got her first guitar at age 8 and started singing at a Knoxville Tenn radio station at the age of 11. Gold Band Records is a small, independent label. While still in highschool, she made her name in the local community, yet she yearned for having a bigger stage. She relocated to Nashville following her graduation in 1964. Her first charting records for Monument Records included Dumb Blonde and Something Fishy both in 1967. The syndicated television show of Porter Wagoner needed a new singer at around the time. Parton became a member of Grand Ole Opry 1969 after signing in 1969 with RCA Records. She quit Wagoner's act in 1974 after her own hits like Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene oversold her collaborations. Parton's song, I Will Never Love You (for Wagoner), was able to reach the No. #1 spot following their separated. 1 for the first time since 1974.
