Lucy-Liu
Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American actor, voice actress, director producer and vocalist. A beautiful and smart actor, she is an example to many Asian actors who aspire to make it big in Hollywood. An early string of success roles in a popular TV show led to her becoming popular for her role in the show in Ally McBeal, where she appeared as Ling Woo. In the wake of her popularity, she was offered major roles on the shows Shanghai Noon (1998) and Charlie's Angels (2000). She delivered a stunning performance as Japanese criminal O-Ren Ishii (Quentin Tarantino) in Kill Bill Volume 1 by Quentin Tarantino. At the same time, she also starred in box office failures, including Rise: Blood Hunter. In the following years, she started voicing the characters of animated films like Kung Fu Panda or Tinker Bell. Mia Mason's part in Cashmere Mafia, a small screen film, failed to bring about the outcomes. Southland is a critically-acclaimed series of police dramas which included Liu in multiple roles, helped her reestablish her status as a performer. Liu selects her roles carefully so as to avoid being typecast in a competitive industry. Though she has embraced the roots of her family, she hasn't let them restrict her artistic abilities.
